Saturday 27th Block 1: 10am-12pm Intro to Thai Massage
Warming up with yoga and self-massage, participants will be introduced to metta, the philosophy behind Thai Massage, which means loving kindness in action. Establishing a playful rhythm, students will experience Thai Yoga massage as a sacred dance within their own bodies. Once participants begin to work in partners, they will experience it as a holy communion between two people, used to unblock energy stagnation. Through the sharing of this practice, they will connect with an ancient Eastern healing technique used as a tool to awaken their spiritual flame and their own inner therapist.

Block 2: 1pm-3pm Practical Thai Massage
Opened to the world of Thai Massage, participants will learn basic moves for everyday life and practical healing. We will introduce basic sequences for health and address common muscoskeletal issues associated with yoga practitioners. Participants will be taught and given techniques for take-home and practice.

Sunday 28th Block 3: 10am-12pm Intro into Lunar Acro Yoga
The lunar acroyoga focuses on the healing, relaxing and rejuvenating practices of Thai massage and therapeutic flying. All levels, all ages, all people are welcome to join this very special workshop, which provides a safe environment to explore trust, connection and playfulness all in the spirit of coming together.
Warm-up begins with the lunar asana sequence that teaches basic body mechanics with a focus on self-love cultivation, in preparation for the experience of flying Thai massage. Thai massage techniques taught on the floor are translated into flying work, using the element of gravity to amplify the healing flow of prana (life force). Often, we will work in teams of three for safety and support, with everyone having the opportunity to base and fly, to heal and be healed. This training offers invaluable tools for yoga teachers, massage therapists, energy works, and body enthusiasts who wish to develop a new dimension of healing touch with friends, family, students, and clients.

Block 4: 1pm-3pm Therapeutic Flying
Now opened to the concept of flying Thai Massage, students will learn basic sequences for practical healing using the suspension of the body through acroyoga to decompress the spine, provide joint traction and perform spinal rotation and lateral bending under decompression. Using gravity as an aid, students will access pressure points and utilize pressure massage in a fun, effective method that will open their imagination to creative expression of this ancient healing art.

The cost is $40 per two hour block, $60 per day and $100 for both the Thai Massage & Acro Therapeutics Weekend Workshop.
